Johnnie Liliedahl: Reflections at Flatford Bridge

This painting of an English country scene includes many elements of the basic landscape and adds others including houses, bridge, boats, water and people. The concepts explained in Video D-1, "Basic Landscape Painting", are repeated only briefly, so that the additional elements of buildings and water reflections may be explained more fully and in complete detail. Emphasis is on painting technique to achieve the appearance of a highly reflective, glassy surface on the slow-moving water.
