There are few artists as accomplished as Charlie Hunter. With a deft hand and an extraordinary eye for design, Charlie transforms ordinary subjects into breathtaking works of representational art.

Charlie is a graduate of Yale University with a degree in art and graphic design, and his paintings exude both technical brilliance and an ethereal emotional resonance.

As an artist, Charlie is a storyteller in the truest sense. “What is of great importance is how we choose to tell the story,” he says. “What kind of brush marks do you want to use? How much do you want to spell things out? That’s what we painters need to be thinking about.”

His accolades speak volumes. Charlie has taken home first place at major plein air events like Laguna, Door County, Wayne, and Mountain Maryland. He’s been honored as Artists’ Choice in Sedona, and earned Best Architecture and Best New Artist awards at Plein Air Easton.
