Linda Kemp: Negative Painting Techniques - Watercolor

A full-time artist and ambassador for negative painting, Linda Kemp teaches workshops throughout Canada, the U.S. and the U.K.

Linda Kemp will show you how to take advantage of the nature of watercolor as you create a painting from start to finish. Working wet-into-wet with multiple layers, Linda teaches in a negative painting approach (painting around an object). Along the way, she'll show you her tips for dynamic brushwork and interesting edges. She also discusses color mixing and  paint characteristics, and she emphasizes how value contrasts make for a powerful end result!

Her award-winning paintings are in several collections around the world, and have been featured in publications such as The Artist's Magazine and Watercolor Artist. Linda is the author of Watercolor Painting Outside the Lines and Simplifying Color & Design for Artists.
