This is truly the stuff legends are made of, and it is a rare and great opportunity for you to learn from this art legend. This kind of opportunity does not happen often, so don’t miss your chance to study with one of today’s most accomplished artists by adding this video to your resource library.
Here is just some of what you’re getting when you bring Albert into your own studio on this video:
There’s just no substitute for the years of experience Albert brings to you. You get to learn the techniques and philosophy that have taken Albert decades to master — saving you a lot of time and the frustration of trial and error you would experience on your own.
As you watch Albert paint L’arbre (The Tree), you will feel his passion and observe his technique for capturing the fine details of the bark, branches, and leaves. He’ll explain how he creates the right cast shadow to achieve a realistic look and how he brings in texture to highlight different features. In no time, you’ll begin to see what you’ve been missing in your paintings and how, with Albert’s help, your next painting may just be the best you’ve ever done.
To make things really easy for you, the video has chapter breaks throughout the demonstration so you can return to any step in the lesson you want to replay — something you definitely can’t do in a live workshop!
Take the opportunity now to add this lesson-rich video to your own learning library — it’s definitely one you don’t want to miss.
What a fantastic artist in oil and pastel!! Great tips.
Any of Alberts videos are a joy to watch, and I have three of them. He's a gifted painter and teacher and really knows what he is talking about and is amusing as well. I watch his videos numerous times and have learned many things from Albert and it is nice for me because we were born in the same year.
I have enjoyed this dvd so much because of all the years of wisdom that Albert pulls from in his instruction. He is a humble, gentle teacher and so very helpful! I do love the way he integrates the background with the foreground and his emphasis on a variety of edges. He is amazing to watch! He DOES use photos, but not to copy. I can really see that he uses them as a reference for the "poem" he is writing. He speaks out loud when he paints, so I can hear his thought process... I will watch this over and over as I paint and try to incorporate his masterful techniques in my own work.
I want to paint in his style. Painterly
Top take aways for me were: color palette, because I always thought the image dictated the palette, learning an artist's color palette is unique to them and actually part of their signature: tones, warm and cool: composition, I was taught to paint outward in and was sometimes exhausted before even getting to the main focus of my artwork. As Albert says "you want to paint the tree so paint the tree", as a result there is more freedom and enjoyment in my artistic process: glazing and scumbling...who knew! I will be reviewing this video many times when old habits start to kick in. Thank you so much.
