The Setup
In this chapter, C.W. reveals his complete system for planning a successful still life before you ever touch brush to canvas. You’ll learn what types of objects to choose and why color plays a crucial role in designing your setup. C.W. then walks you through his 7 foundational truths for painting — the non-negotiables that determine whether your painting will succeed or “circle the drain.” You’ll discover how to think about the abstraction of objects, shapes, and colors as you plan your composition.
