“I had a neighbor that was an artist. He had a small studio, and I would visit because I was fascinated. He saw my pencil drawings and kept encouraging me. Then one day, he handed me some paints and told me to ‘get painting, kid’. Back then, we were poor and there would have been no way for me to afford supplies. So, with that push, I began a lifelong love of painting and creating, and I’ve never stopped. He saw that spark in me, and I’m grateful.”
