This bundle includes five popular videos by Cheri Christensen

Combined length: 20+ Hours

Straight Ahead

See Cheri paint the animals she loves to see her style and impressionistic interpretation. And how she turns what seems to be pretty common subjects into works of art. In this first of 3 videos, she choose to paint the subject using, primarily, a palette knife to dramatize the character of this particular rooster named “Straight Ahead.”

This is an excellent demonstration of not only interpreting the subject in an impressionistic style, but her skill in using a palette knife to do the majority of the painting. If you’ve ever wanted to see someone skilled in the use of a palette knife, this video is for you.

Keeping An Eye Out

We released an earlier video by Cheri of her doing an oil painting demonstration of a rooster using a Palette Knife. While this DVD may seem similar, it is done using bristle brushes instead, to demonstrate her very "loose" painting technique.

See Cheri paint the animals she loves to see her style and impressionistic interpretation. And to witness how she turns what seems to be pretty common subjects into works of art.

This is an excellent demonstration of not only interpreting the subject in an impressionistic style, but her skill in using large bristle brushes to do the majority of the painting.

Highlight

What fun to do this unique video of Cheri painting a cow, of all things. "Marshmellow," the cow, is indeed, a beautiful subject and what better to illustrate the principles of painting backlighting, which Cheri does in a masterful fashion using Russian Impressionist Tradition techniques.

Cheri is well known for doing beautiful and expressive paints of her friendly barnyard animals and this is no exception. It was a beautiful moment caught in a photograph with the cow and sun in just the right position to illustrate Marshmellow's beautiful nature and the sun's effect in the background, as it presents so many highlights to make this demonstration painting an absolute delight to watch.

If you've ever wanted to either paint a large animal or to better understand the challenge of painting backlighting, this is a video that you are sure to enjoy.
